History Highlights: Untold Stories of World War II

Anyone who lived through World War II had a story to tell. From a first-time flyer joining the new Women’s Airforce Service Pilot program, to a Class 1-8 African American soldier shipping out to fight on the Pacific front, many who served in the war took photographs, kept mementos, and saved documents of their time serving their country. Dr. Sara Abosch-Jacobson, Barbara Rabin Chief Education Officer, and Felicia Williamson, Director of Library and Archives, will share with us some little-known stories of Texans who served in the war through recently acquired artifacts in the Museum’s collections.
