Event to benefit Children’s Health, Temple Shalom Youth Programming

Temple Shalom will partner with Children’s Health to hold its 22nd Annual “Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament, a fundraiser to benefit Children’s Health and Temple Shalom Youth Programming. The charity event will take place on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at Gentle Creek Country Club in Prosper. This annual event has cumulatively raised more than $550,000 over the past 21 years to benefit nonprofit organizations.

The tournament is now open for registration at https://www.forethekids.net/. The entry fee for the golf tournament is $175 for an individual player and includes the entire day’s festivities: golf, lunch, dinner, silent auction, prizes and more.

Gentle Creek’s scenic course meanders through 235 acres of manicured fairways and wooded countryside. Gentle Creek is known as one of the Top 10 golf club courses in DFW and one of the Top 50 courses in Texas. Gentle Creek has played host to AT&T Byron Nelson Qualifiers and US Open & US Amateur Qualifiers as well as Texas Golf Association and professional competitions. This parkland-style course, designed by PGA Tour professional D.A. Weibring, has notable regard for the grand tradition of the game. Sponsorships and underwriting are vital to the success of the tournament. Sponsors and their invitees will be special guests at the event. Sponsorship donations, excluding the value of goods and services, may also be tax-deductible. Underwriting helps cover expenses, thereby increasing the event’s proceeds to benefit the children.

As stated above, the event’s beneficiaries are Children’s Health and Temple Shalom’s Youth Programming. Children’s Health has been making life better for children in North Texas for more than 100 years. Children’s Health System of Texas (Children’s Health) is the largest pediatric health care provider in North Texas, offering exemplary care in over 50 pediatric subspecialties.
