On the evening of the March 12 attack on Temple Israel, an overflow crowd of 85 attended a Run, Hide, Fight community training hosted by Congregation Ahavath Sholom.

With the dramatic rise in antisemitic activity, Roy Gray, an experienced instructor and deputy director of community security for the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, shared practical strategies on what to do when faced with an active threat.

The series of training sessions will continue this summer with a medical emergency class focusing on CPR, Stop the Bleed and AED usage, to be offered at all Tarrant County synagogues.

The training, which was open to the entire Jewish community, was sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
