The Ford Motor Company’s official X account posted three anti-Israel tweets expressing scorn for the Jewish state and its ongoing war against the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza.
In since-deleted posts, the official account posted “Free Palestine,” “Israel is a terrorist state” and “ALL EYES ON GAZA” within 5 minutes of each other. X analytics showed some 100 thousand people saw the posts before they were deleted from the site.
“Our X account was briefly compromised and the previous three posts were not authorized or posted by Ford,” a spokesperson for Ford told JNS. “We are investigating the issue.”
“Ford Motor Company must have been hacked by the Free Palestine movement,” wrote Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.).
Henry Ford, founder of the eponymous motor company, had a long history of antisemitism. A notable example included his ownership of a newspaper that published a series of antisemitic articles that quoted liberally from “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” a fraudulent document that claimed to detail a Jewish plot for world domination.
