Successful Super Sunday raises more than $241,000 for Dallas Federation
The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas raised $241,142 at its annual Super Sunday, which took place March 25. Overall, 579 families and individuals contributed, of which 110 were first-time donors, with the overall dollar amount received representing a 9.5 percent increase from the year before.
“This is a very important part of the annual campaign,” said Michael Waldman, who co-chaired the event with Staci Rubin. “This gives people who wouldn’t necessarily have the opportunity, a chance to take part in this process, help raise money for the campaign and learn about important the work of the Federation, which helps so many different organizations. Super Sunday is an energetic, fun environment.”
The monies raised through Super Sunday (which operated this year from the Aaron Family JCC’s Zale Auditorium) go toward the Federation’s annual campaign. Added annual campaign co-chair Mark Kreditor, “The Federation touches so many organizations and the more events we can have like this the better. People who make a donation do a great mitzvah. A day like this makes people aware what the Federation not only does in our community, but around the world.”
